Christmas at Emmanuel 2022
8 of the boy choristers relax with a mince pie after their busy Christmas singing.
The run up to Christmas starts with our ADVENT PROCESSION on Sunday November 27th at 6.30 pm. The service starts in a darkened Church and Palestrina's Resonsory for Advent is sung. The Advent candle is lit and light passed around as the music continues with plainsong music for the Blessing of Light.
On Thursday 8th December the Choirs join with Sutton Coldfield Chamber Choir to sing Handel's Messiah at Emmanuel Church, Wylde Green. The very popular Candlelit Carol Concerts are at 7.30 pm on Saturday and Monday 17th and 19th December. This magical atmosphere is an essential part of the build up to Christmas.
